Should I see a specialist if I have pet allergy?

Hi! Two weeks ago I got a little cat. I was so happy but now I’m worried because I think I have a pet allergy. I have all common symptoms of pet allergy. Maybe I can take some medications. Now I don’t know Should I see a specialist if I have pet allergy?

Well, if you are sure that you are allergic to cats, you can go and buy some medication in your nearest store. But I think that it’s better for you to go and check first. An allergist will give you an allergy test to find out if you have an allergy.
