Should I stop taking beta-blockers?

Hello, I have been taking beta blockers for a long time for treating hypothyroidism. I don’t have any symptoms not regarding that condition so I would like to know if I should stop taking these beta blockers. I am still afraid that the symptoms might return. Can you give me an advice?

It is very important for you to consult your endocrinologist. I think that you should gradually end the therapy. If you do that suddenly, withdrawal symptoms might occur. And they are manifested with the worsening of the already existing condition, hypothyroidism in your case. And I can tell that you really don’t want to do that. Just don’t do anything on your own.
