Should I take my birth control?

When I got pregnant with my dd I was 7 days late and took a preg. test and it came up negative. The next day I got my monthly. The very next month I did the same thing but it came up positive and I never got my monthly.

Now I was 9 days late and took a few pregnancy tests and they came up negative. Then today I got my monthly. Is there anyway I could still be pregnant? I ask because if not I want to start my birth control and don't want to hurt the baby if I am..
