HI. I have never had the rubellavaccination due to very bad eczema at the time I was suppose to take it. Later I just did not think too much about it. But, as I plan to get pregnant in close future, I’m considering to take it now. Does anybody here knows anything about it?? Should I take it??
Even though you have never been vaccinated against rubella, you may have acquired immunity in the past. It is very common. But, I still suggest that you ask your doctor for a blood test to see if you have immunity to rubella or not. If you find that you are at risk, you can arrange to be vaccinated but I must tell you that it is not recommended to get pregnant for at least one month after vaccination. Hope this helps.
