Hello, I am a father of a three year old son and I have an unusual question. We give our kid all the love we can and we are really trying to raise him to the best of our abilities and I wonder if too much attention is sometimes bad. Perhaps we should encourage our child to experience grief. I mean, that awaits him in life too.

Well, you said it yourself; he will feel grief sooner or later. Perhaps it would be better for him to be prepared for that feeling, but then again, why should be? Grief, as it is, is not a pleasant feeling and he really does not need that in his age. Just make his childhood filled with great memories as much as you can.
