My doctor told me very bad news today. It appears that I have polyps in my intestines. I have been experiencing problems with defecation for almost a month now. I did not went to a doctor, hoping that it will pass on its own. But it did not. It only got worse. I saw blood in my stool. I finally went to a doctor, and Sigmoscopy revealed polyps. Doc said that I will most probably have to be operated. Is that the only solution?
I am afraid it is. Polyps are fungus like structures that are attached to the inner wall of intestines, sigmoid part in your case. They can not fall of their own, medicaments cannot help here. The only solution is surgical removal. There is just one problem here. If polyps cannot be reached then the entire part of intestines has to be removed. Sorry, but that's how it is.
