I’ve started with singulaire 7 days ago. I had very disturbing breathing difficulties, so switched form flixotide to singulair. I have noticed symptoms like cough and wheezing that never occurred with flixotide. Is wheezing caused by singulaire? If yes, is it temporary or permanent side effect?

Sigulaire sometimes cause nasal irritation and sore throat or cough. These side effects are not serious and are likely to occur. More serious side effects are worsening of respiratory symptoms and pain and swelling in sinuses. So it is individually how you find your wheezing serious. It is also individually how long any of these effects are going to last, so if you find it really bothersome, contact your doctor, but do not stop taking singulaire before you talk to her/him.
