| Hi ladies...I have come to this forum to ask a question. I have been off of my pill since the very beginning of Sept. my husbanc and I wanted to start trying to get pregnant. I had a normal period without the pill. It came as it normally would have if I had still been on the pill. Just a few days ago, when I went to use the bathroom, I noticed that I felt "wet", so when I wiped, there was a pink tinged discharge. Since then, I have had a little bit more, but it is clear. We have been having unprotected sex...because we are trying, but my period sin't due until the end of this month/beginning of next Nov. Anyone else experienced anything like this? |

I looks like I'm a bit older ladies but still very much an active professional woman of 49. I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago but opted to leave my ovaries so I could experience menopause naturally and avoid HRTs. This week I had severe abdominal pain along with a back injury that had worsened. After going to the chiro on Monday, that night I woke up and felt like I had started my period. The bed was soaked, but it was not blood. I made it to the bathroom and I had a pinkish discharge that was a little cloudy but mostly mucouslike. It had a strange smell, but not really strong or foul. I am at a total loss since I have no uterus. I got to my doctor the next day and he was also stumped. He did a pelvic and could not find a source of the discharge. They did a urinalysis just to be sure, and I'm on anti biotics for that. There's an infection somewhere but we cannot locate the source. I'm scheduled for more testing. BTW - the majority of the abdominal pain has subsided since this flood of discharge like a cyst burst.....but my doctor doesn't know where a cyst could have been since I have had a hysterectomy. Is it possible to just have a vaginal cyst? This had to have been rather large to hold so much fluid.
Has anyone had a similar experience? |

Posted: 11/30/06 - 22:14 Post subject: Any answers to this mucous thing? |
I am 29 years old - no kids - and it seems that just before my period I have this pink mucous 'thing' for a couple of days. What is this? We all seem to relate on this but no one has any answers. I keep thinking I am pregnant - because I have other symptoms as well - ie. nausea, tired, breast tenderness. Yet, I always get my period??!!! I am a little worried because when I do internet research, problematic issues come up not period related symptoms????

Posted: 12/02/06 - 21:32 Post subject: thick slimy yellowish discharge? |
| I'm 20 and have a soon to be 1 year old, and recently I have been noticing a think yellow/slightly pinkish discharge especially today after using a douch. Last time I went to the dr. I was still STD free and to my knowledge not pregnant. So what is this and should I be alarmed? I do work at a strip club and dont know if this is normal or if I got something from sharing a toilet with one of the dancers? Don't really know what to do? Any help? |

| karlyr wrote: | Hello, I am 29 and have 2 children, 3/6. As far as I know I am not pregnant and have no STD's. I thought maybe I started my period as I was more wet today. I checked and did not. Later, as I was taking a bath and washing I noticed a clump of mucus floating near my vagina and still attatched ...i pulled on it and it was a very thick gel-like slimy consitensy...yes jelly or snot like. No more was felt inside...then I washed a bit more and more came out.
It was tinged a bit with one very lil pink dot like blood color. But then 10 min later after being out and moving some more came out...in all about the size of a silver dollar. There is ABSOLUTELY NOOO smell or odor to it. I do not have any other symptoms. I did stop wearing the patch about 3 weeks ago due to the irritation from the adhesive. Any Ideas what this is? | |

Posted: 12/07/06 - 13:56 Post subject: cervical erosion |
| Sorry to hear your suffering so much. This sounds to me like the normal mucus that occurs during the cycle. There is a condition called ectropian of the cervix whereby abnormal cells occur on the cervix and typical symptoms are mucus type discharge and sometimes bleeding during sex. Many people have no symptoms though. Its caused by excess oestrogen so if you're on the combined pill or pregnant its more likely. A simple examination to look at the cervix is all thats needed, its easy for a dr to spot! |

| Candida which can be one of the yeasts that cause a yeast infection, is not a bacteria. |
