Small Fiber Neuropathy

Hi, my father is 63 years old and he is suffering from the pain in his feet. He tried to change his shoes and wear something more comfortable but it didn't help. At the end he decided to visit his doctor who sends him to neurologist. After several days of examination conclusion was that he is suffering from small fiber neuropathy. I would like to know something more about it.

Hi, Small Fiber Neuropathy is very common disorder for people who are over 65 years old. Unspecific pain may cause confusion between doctors too. My uncle suffered from it and after some time he got this diagnosis. Causes for such disorders are diabetes, different toxins and amyloidosis. Therapy is is based on neutralizing pain in the feet.
