ok i don't normally post on here, so don't know if this'll work =S

but basically i have fordyce spots aswell, im 17 and had them for as long as i can remember. Like you all it really knocked my confidence with girls espespecially untill i knew what they were. I've got them on my foreskin and at the base of the shaft, i went through the "omg what are these, is it herpes? genital warts?' etc etc, like many of you have, untill i read this forum, i spose it helped a little but i was still really nervous about doing things with my girl friend, didn't know how she would react, whether it would ruin the situation, if she'd run off, if she'd tell everyone?

long story short, she didn't even notice! didn't think it was possible myself but she didn't even notice. I'm aware this probably won't help your confidence right now, but thought I'd try anyway. And to be honest if the girl's worth it, it won't be a problem anyway, just trying to say your sex lives aren't over, infact they're only just begining!

I've now accepted im probably going to be one of the unlucky ones for whom they don't go away as they haven't showed any signs of it recently, just really glad it's not gonna ruin my sex life forever

good luck lad's, hope this helped

I too do have the same problem for years now, it didn't worry me at first, but as the year goes by and its condition has getting worse. (growing out more and more and it itches) Maybe I should really have a doctor for a check. But I'm kinda embarrassing about it.

Wow!

I can't describe how relieving this thread is. I'm 15 and after well....ummm what can i say....masturbating, I started to notice these small spots, mainly on the shaft. I was so worried! I knew it couldnt be an STD since I haven't had sexual contact, but I was still very worried. Then I came across this through google-and what a relief! I did a bit more research, and mainly through wikipedia, i found out that theyre called fordyce spots and they're totally normal. Thanks.

Hey, just out of curiousity, does anyone know how common fordyce spots are?

Oh my god im so glad i found this post, i had been worried about mine for yeeeaaars and then eventually forgot about them coz as you all know, theyre almost hardly visible (and lets be honest guys, when your having sex with your partner, i think theres more interesting things going on Very Happy and come on who actually inspects your penis in oral sex Very Happy ) so now im no longer worried about them.

If worst came to worst, I would just laugh and tell them what they are briefly.

Im just so glad to hear so many of you have it too, and that we really are not alone! Laughing

Thank god for this thread.

I'm nineteen but I've had these since I was around twelve. I rarely had the idea that they would be an std, considering I was a virgin until sixteen. But I still saw them as a flaw, and wanted (Still want to) seek medical attention. But now at least the unneeded stress is gone. I've heard toothpaste works, (to an extent that they will become smaller, but the effect varies from person to person) but is painful, due to the drying effect of toothpaste. So perhaps I'll try that.

Well WELL Well, I've got them fellas. I'm not a doctor, I'm not a teacher, and I'm not a lawyer. If you care to continue reading this post, it will not and can not be used against me in the court of law. Any further reading will suggest your signature has been signed to my previous briefing.
Little white bumps scattered all over the shafts of our man stick. Like you, my first thought is STD. It doesn't hurt, rarely itches, and has identical symptoms of acne. So we decide to forget STD and we start cleaning our love rods extra special. Still embarrassed to tell anyone, let alone see a doctor, we just wait for the acne to clear up. We soon realize that it's not going away. As you've read I'm sure. It is possible to grab a fifth of gray goose, some sterilizing swabs, and personally cut them and their seed out of your antenna. It hurts , you can and will scare, and there is only 2 hundred left to get.
Honestly I would leave them alone, many of us guys have this, many woman haven't seen this, and I've never had one complaint. We possess the natural "French Tickler." It's good to tell your girl/s facts about your issue before they take off running and tell everyone some falls statements.
Please take care because they can get infected, then they enlarge and I would consult a doctor and make plans for removal. I'm on my third big one and it will need some stitches. Later I will tell you my thoughts on why and how we get these, I'm just to tired and I can't stop the reason why and I'm sure you can't either.

Hello, I just turned 16 years old and I have been experiencing the same issues as many of you. When I was younger (I think I was about 10) I first discovered the small white bumps. Obviously I was not sexualy active at the time, so I ruled STD out. However I have always had problems with cold sores, and I thought that maybe I had transfered one of my facial coldsores to my penis through touch or something. The bumps have never moved, hurt, itched, or grown. I have never told anyone about this because it is embarassing. When I was 12 I got alcahol poisoning and went to the hospital, the docter had to take a urine sample and for whatever reason, to do so required putting a tube into my penis. During this time I was unconscious, but I would assume that the (female) docter got to familiar terms with my penis. And nothing was mentioned. None of my partners have ever mentioned them either, although they are quite noticable. And none have ever recieved them from me through oral or traditional sex. Are they very common? I figure it is not anything to be too worried about, but I have a natural concern for my manhood. Any help would be appreciated.

Just fyi, these little bumps can be irritating vaginally to most females, which could limit the amount of times one is able to have intercourse
within a 24hrs time period. Bus from a female perspective no it isn't contagious
