Smells after unprotected sex

I am not circumsized and this may be a reason why. But everytime we try to have sex unprotected (even after doctor visits by us both), after a day or so the head of my penis begins to smell and her vagina begins to smell like something died in it. At first one health clinic told me it was herpes. another clinic said it wasn't herpes. Her GYN told her it was herpes, than they said trich, and she keep getting treated for yeast infections. But we have no real answer what it really is. What could it be?

Do you both have any form of discharge (random or otherwise) during the times when your not having sex?
