It has been found that smoking may contribute to a very unpleasant condition that most likely occurs in men-Lingua villosa nigra. Lingua villosa nigra is a disorder in which a person’s tongue turns black and it represents such an ugly sight.
A tongue turns black when papillae, otherwise 1mm long, situated on the tongue grow up to 1.5 cm in length.
This disorder usually arises in men who have immune system abnormalities that allow bacterial colonization on the tongue.
Besides smoking, other factors that most commonly contribute to the black tongue disorder are bad oral hygiene, certain medicines and vitamin deficiency.
The disorder is harmless but it looks really bad. It may be hard to treat in some people while in others goes away on its own, almost overnight.
So guys, in order to avoid the black tongue cut down on smokes, improve your oral hygiene and pray. |
