Hello ,

Ive had my period twice in one month once at the beginning and once towards the end. I'm just wondering is that normal or am i pregnant? Ive had two pregnancy tests both are negative.. I wasn't on the pill previously to this but i used morning after pill.

I've just got on the pill yesterday and i'm just wondering how long it takes before you can have sex without a condom?

I'm also wondering does been on the pill make you put on weight?

Thank You

Wait 1 month before having sex without back up, and even then remember you are only protected against pregnancy 99%, not against STD's.

Yes the pill, depending on what kind and how your body reacts to it, can gain weight. However, that is a small price to pay to not get pregnant, and if you are really worried about gaining too much weight, adjust your diet as well as your level of movement and exercise.

INCORRECT IMMORTAL ONE.

When a woman starts the pill, she may have sex after 7 DAYS of use. This is in every pill package leaflet, and is common knowledge.

You are protected after 7 days of correct usage.

Some women gain weight on BC pills, some women lose weight, it is very individual.

IF you do not eat right and exercise you will gain weight anyway, because that is what happens as we women mature.

The reason your period is so funny is because you used PLAN B, it does cause your cycle to be screwy.

Carfary first of all you did not need to post in all caps, in case you are lacking internet ediquette that means you were yelling. Secondly I told her exactly what I was told by more than 1 doctor, so *shrug*. I've never claimed to be a professional, however I have 2 daughters who are proof that the pill (no matter how precisely it is taken or which one is taken) does not always work.

Sorry.. My caps button will stick, and some sentences i have typed have been all out of whack :/

Most docs say one month because they figure you will somehow screw up, and they wanna make sure you take it correctly.

All pill packs, except for the mini pill, explain that it is effective after 7 days of use.
