Something in throat for two weeks help!

for the past two weeks I've had this strange feeling on the left side of my throat,it's towards the top or by my tongue hard to say,I've looked with a flashlight but can't see anything!It almost feels like when you swallow a pill that doesn't go down right away.I made an appointment with an ENT but am really starting to freak out perhaps I've been doing to much research on the web!I also smoke about half a pack of cigs a day.Could being really sick about three weeks ago have anything to do with this,I had two huge shots of penicillan in my rear!Thought I had strep but that was negative,however my throat felt like razor blades a couple weeks ago now this,do I have cancer or something wrong with my tonsils,PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT!

you should go to the ENT that way you will know for sure if its cancer. Ive had throat problems for a year now, when they told me it wasn't cancer i was happy! I'm still hoping my throat problems will go away......
