I have to ask if anyone knows how to answer a question regarding my 1 1/2 year old's penis. He has been reaching into his diaper and "pulling on it". He has been uncomfortable with his baths at night as well. Can we put anything on it? Lamisil, baby powder, AD ointment? Curious. Thank you! Shawn Wetzel

Are you sure his penis is causing him to be uncomfortable? I have two boys and from when they both first 'found' their penis' they haven't left them alone. Any opportunity they get of having their diapers off their hands go straight to it. It is a very normal thing all boys go through at some stage (and some don't ever stop!! lol)

Vitamin C (from too much orange juice, for example) cannot be stored in the body, and burns when it comes out in urine.
If he is not yet circumcised, his foreskin may be too tight (phimosis), or have some debris underneath it which is irritating the skin, or might even be infected. If so, find out if the foreskin is retractable yet; if so, retract and clean it.
Disclaimer: Do not force it if it's not ready. But do not "just leave it alone" either. Find out what's going on and do something about it.
