Sore nipples; Recently had Implanon inserted? Is it related?

Recently my nipples have become swollen, a deep red colour and very very sore to the touch. My breasts however have not changed.

I had implanon inserted about 1-2 months ago and have no symptoms up until the last two days.

Could it be related or is it another problem?

Hi, it's most likely the implant. I had the exact same thing a couple of months after getting the implant but it does go away I think it's to do with the hormones. It's recently happened again (had the implant now for almost 2yrs) but only for a few days. I wouldn't worry too much, although I feel your pain!
