Spasm in left side of throat - near tonsil

HI,

I have had a sore throat for about 2 months. For a while I had little blisters on my tongue and throat and then they went away. I now am left with a sore throat that comes and goes throughout the day. Sometimes it just pulses or spasms right near my left tonsil, where you would feel for your pulse. It feels like something is stuck on my tonsil for the remainder of the time. When is spasms it takes my voice away for a moment. It is not extremely painful just strange and has been hanging around for a long time now, with a slight cough that comes and goes as well. Can anyone help? I am also getting a pain every now and then on the left side of my chest, at the top of my breast feels internal, comes suddenly and goes quickly. My brother recently died of a heart attack folling Chemo and radiation from Non Hodgkins lymphona. I don't want to be paranoid but want to know if it is something I should be getting checked more thoroughly???
