Spleen injury by deep tissue massage possible

I had gotten a deep tissue pressure point massage on Dec 21st 2006. It was ok the next day but by the second day i had a sharp pain ubder my ribs on my left. Than the 3rd day i went to the hospital because i couldnt breathe without the sharp pain. They said it could be a muscle strain/contusion, but I am worried maybe it could be my sprain since they did not do any tests on me to confirm. Could my spleen have been injured during this deep tissue pressure point massage (because it hurt!!!)
