Spotting and bleeding before period??

hi. I have been off the pill for 3 months now.

My last period STARTED 14th April. I was having unprotected sex since then up until the 30th April. On the 8th and 9th of May I experienced some very light brownish pink spotting, when wiped. Today being the 11th May I started having a more heavy flow, darker red in colour, my period is due in one week. What could this mean? is this an early period? could it be implantation bleeding even if it got heavier, or possibly the egg didnt bury successfully?

Please help im so confused!!

Implantation bleeding is generally very light. It may be an early period from coming off the birth control, or it could be pregnancy. You may just have to wait and see
