| On day 14 of my cycle I have brown spotting. This continues until my period starts on day 29 (so about 15 days of very light spotting). I am trying to get pregnant. has anyone ever had this before or know if I can still be possibly pregnant when getting the spotting? |

| I'm having the same problem I had my period on the 10th of this month ended on the 17th and I have been spotting all this weekend and today. I'm trying to get pregnate to. Have you been to the doctor?? I'm not sure whats going on I know sometimes stress can cause problems to |

| I had this before I had my daughter. I couldn't get pg and saw a fetility doctor. Neither he or my OB ever felt my spotting was a problem but I was convinced it was a luteal phase defect....something they poo pooed as a dx hard to prove in anyone. Anyway, my infertility was basically unexplained so I did IVF and have a daughter now. After I had my daughter I had extremely normal periods without any spotting. It was wildly liberating to not have those two weeks of spotting. So I got pg twice naturally since I had my daughter and both ended in miscarriage (6 and 8 weeks). It's bee a year since my last pregnancy and we haven't been lucky enough to have conceived again naturally though we have tried. Recently I started spotting again before my periods but for only 5 days and it's bright red. Moral of my story is, I think we all have a luteal phase problem. The corpus luteum doesn't generate enough hormone for us to maintain the uterine lining and therefore we cannot get pregnant, at least not too easily. I would suggest anyone with the spotting symptoms to get a blood work up from their OB and then take it from there. Good luck!!!!!!!!! I know the spotting is the pits. |

| I had this before and it turned out that it was tubal pregnancy. You should see a doctor immediately. I'm glad I did see the doctor early, or else it could have killed me if the tubes bursted. |

Thankyou for all your replies. i wrote the original email ages ago about the spotting and am still not pregnant, although the spotting is improving with each cycle - it is only 1 or 2 days before my period starts now. i had a lapraroscopy in May and have had the mid cycle spotting ever since (i never got it before the lap) - so the spotting must be because of that.
How long did you wait until you started IVF? I have been trying to get pregnant for about 16 months now and very depressed as all my other friends have babies. how long do you think I should wait? |

| When I ovulate my ovaries get sore for one day, then 3 days later i start to spot, and continue spotting off and on till I have my actual period about 10 days later. I have a slow thyroid but I am on medication. This has been happening for the last 13 years, ever since i had my second daughter. I tell docters, but they never seem concerned they just want to put me on birth control. Is there anyone out there who has experienced this? |

 ive had light spots of blood starting friday afternoon,stopped, then saturday a little more, then stopped. i have a week and aq half untill my next period. have had unprotected sex with my partner. worried now. had clamydia years ago. help |
