| I have been on 4 different oral contraceptives in the past 2 years, but each kind makes me start spotting during the 2nd week of pills, up until my period. My doctor has me taking premarin continuously through my cycles, and shortening them by taking 4 out of 7 placebos. I have tried taking 1000mg Vitamin C for the first 5 days of spotting. I take my pills at the same time everyday, and never miss one. Nothing so far has worked to stop the spotting. Any ideas? |

| It's perfectly normal to spot in between periods for at least up to a year. I've only been on 2 different kinds, Yasmin and now Seasonale. I started freaking out earlier this week because for the first time while on Seasonale, I started spotting, and the day before I had unprotected sex with my fiance and since I'm on Seasonale, my period isn't due until 7 weeks from now. I did some of my own researching as well as contacting my family doctor and gyno and they told me the same thing. Other then that, I would just try to wait it out. If you're spotting for more than 2 weeks, DEFINITELY go see a doctor. Hope I helped some! |
