Posted: 06/04/06 - 14:54 Post subject: Spotting week before period |
|
|
| I am 32, I have not taken the pill for over two years, I am not trying to have a baby, and I have always had regular periods. I think that covers most of the basics? Anyway, I started spotting a few days ago, a week early, I have very light cramps, but no period? I would normally be getting it now, if nothing happens by next week I will go to the doctors but I do not have insurance so I want to give it a chance incase it decides to start. It seems like this is kind of common but I have not seen any answers as to what ultimately happened to most of the people who posted. It is almost like my period just decided it did not want to come this month, I have no PMS, no bloating, I am not tired, my breasts don't hurt, I just don't get it. I am a little worried. Anyone have this happen and what was the final result? Thank you for your replies! |

| Thank you. I took one and it is negative. I guess I am just scared. I have had regular periods since I was a teenager. I am still just spotting, I am now calling it my comma, LOL. |

| I just wanted to do an update incase anyone else is searching and wants to know the outcome. It turned into a regular period for two days, and now it is gone. I have no idea what happened or why, sorry I am not of more help. |

| I had something similar once--a short, light period like that, and then a missed one. It turned out to possibly be due to a very small cyst on my ovary--the kind that occur periodically and harmlessly and usually come and go without effect or without women noticing. Or that was doctor's guess (they did an ultrasound and saw it). anyway, I went on to have normal periods after that. And those cysts are nothing to worry about she told me (there are larger other kinds that can occur though). But obviously keep an eye on things and go to a doctor if you have any other unusual symptoms or irregularities. |
