A friend of mine was diagnosed melanoma in stage 1. He is 43 years old. As I know, skin cancers often affect fair hair and skin people. He is not of that kind. I’m interested in prognosis of that type of cancer in its first stage.
He is generally in good shape. Can it be completely healed?

It is the most important in melanoma to be diagnosed in early stage, because it is still curative than. In stage 1, melanoma is still on the top of the skin and is less than 2 mm thin. And the most important it is not spread anywhere else. There is good chance that surgical treatment cure melanoma in stage 1. Prognosis also depends on general patient’s health condition and genetic pattern.
