Started Period 7 days after ending last period, what could be wrong???

I'm in my 3rd month of loestrin. I screwed up the first month pretty bad taking it at all different times, (we were using condoms while I was screwing up my birth control) but the past two months I have been perfect. Then I get in a horrible fight with my husband, wake up and I'm on my period, 7 days after it had stopped. It has lasted for 8 days now. And I'm not sure what's going on.... any clues?
