Started pill on a tuesday when i didnt have my period

I was put on the pill because i would get my period twice in a month.
My doctor told me to start the pill on a tuesday, and i did. I didnt have me period when i started taking the pill, which goes against the instructions to start on days 1-5 of your period or the sunday after.
Recently my partner and i decided to be sexually active.
Will the pill be inactive because i didnt start on a day i was menstruating on?

The reason why they sometimes have you start on your period is because it is effective IMMEDIATELY THAT DAY, otherwise you must take the pill for 7 full days for it to be effective.

IT IS OKAY that you started the pill on a tuesday, this is called "QUICK START", and your pill would be effective in one week.
