I am starting with epidural shots because of severe back pain. I’m 39, female and I am afraid that my spine is in very bad condition. I have pain every day, when want to stand or to lift something. What to expect from epidural shots?

Epidural shots contain same type of cortisone like cortisone injections. Synthetic cortisone is one the most powerful anti-inflammatory meds. These shots usually provide long lasting relief. Epidural means that injection is administered in space that surrounds membrane that covers spinal cord that is called dura.
