I would like to know what genital warts are, because my friend told me she has them. Are they connected to std?

Hey there,
Genital warts are connected to STD and are sexually transmitted. They usually appear several weeks or months (!) after sexual contact with infected person. They look like soft, moist swellings, usually pink or red in color. They are different in size, single or multiple, some even form a cauliflower-like shape. They appear on vulva, around vagina (or penis, scrotum), anus, even on thigh. Treatment should be preformed by doctor. Since evryone of us is unique, no single treatment is ideal for all cases.
