possible yeast infection

hi first off i noticed a tightness to my foreskin, and then for the first time smegma the smeg is mostly cleared up, but i got fierce scaling and a small amount of discharge also a slight burning, some small cuts have appeared after sex, i was using hydrocortiosion to stretch the foreskin but i suspect i might have a yeast infection,i am a type 2 diabetic and recently lost my pills and it will be at least a month beofre i can afford more.. will otc fungal cream help clear me up for now? thanks for any advice..
