Steroids and Birth Defects Incidence

Hello, I am 27 years old and I am in my third month of pregnancy. And so far nothing is wrong, but I am still worried. Spring is coming and the time when my allergies start to kick in and I am afraid to use my steroids medicament. What is the steroids and birth defects incidence? May I take my meds or not?

I think you already know the answer, especially for the first trimester of pregnancy. Taking meds in that period might severely damage the fetus. As for later months, I think you should consult your doctor. If he says that it is ok to take the meds, then do it. Perhaps you could hold on a bit more, but I guess that depends on the severity of the symptoms you will be experiencing.
