Hi, I guess I am drinking too much coffee and eating spicy food, so my ulcer is provoked and know I am afraid even they would start bleeding again. How to deal with my stomach disorders?

Hi, I feel my ulcers are reactivated when I am under too much stress. But, spicy food like chilly, pepper and curry are also not desirable for ulcer patients. I am taking some over the counter medicines like antacids, but I prefer Nexium, as it showed the best results for me. I did treatment with antibiotics a few years ago, and had my ulcers healed. But, later after one major stress, my ulcer was back. I decided to stop drinking coffee, and avoid alcohol too, as it provokes my symptoms.

In the event of bleeding from the ulcer, endoscopic therapy can control bleeding in most cases.
Surgical intervention may be recommended for people who do not respond to medical therapy or to endoscopic therapy for bleeding.
Self-help measures include:
Eating several small meals a day at regular intervals
Avoiding smoking
Avoiding tea, coffee, and soft drinks containing caffeine
Avoiding alcohol
Avoiding aspirin and NSAIDs
Licorice has a long history of use for soothing inflamed and injured mucous membranes in the digestive tract. Vitamin A is needed to heal the linings (mucous membranes) of the stomach and intestines which is key to the the treatment of Peptic Ulcer. Supplementation with Vitamin C is recommended in the the treatment of Peptic Ulcer, as people who have stomach ulcers may have low levels.

Vitamin B Complex 50, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Omega - 3 Fatty Acids and Enzymes are known to be essential to maintain normal digestion processes and are key ingredients in this Stomach Health Supplement. Acetyl L-Cysteine is a detoxifier for the GI system and promotes damaged GI tract healing. Licorice and Ginger can help to protect the GI tract by decreasing inflammation and forming a physical barrier against stomach acid or other abdominal irritants which is a useful property of this Stomach Health Supplement.
