Stomach bleeding while on Citalopram (Celexa) and Ketoprofen (Orudis)?

My father is in hospital. He is in serious problems. He has internal, stomach bleeding. Doctor says that he has got there just in time and that if he was a little late he would not be among us anymore. My father was taking Celexa for the depression and Ketoprofen for the rheumatoid arthritis. I think that it was the cause but doctor says to wait and see analyzes. Could I be right?

Yes, you may be right. Celexa is selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Some medications may interact with Celexa, especially non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID) like Ketoprofen. Combination those two drugs may cause internal bleeding of stomach or bowels. It is possibility, but, like your doctor said, wait and see what analyzes will tell.
