Stomach fat and Hernia sergury

A year and a half ago, I found out I had (3) embilliacal hernias (one over top of the other). I always wondered why my stomach all of a sudden blew up the way it did. The rest of my body is well proportioned and this stomach has given me a run for my money. Since then I had this condition operated on in March of 2005. A year later, I got clearance from my physician to excercise, but it does not seem to work. Now another year later, I am back again trying pilates and cardio workouts. I must admit that this is getting to be really discouraging. On top of that, I also found out I have polycistic overian syndrome--which has made my weight gain increase. But I have treatment for that, which regulates my cycle and have been able to go back to my previous weight, along with the muffin top stomach. Is this fat excerciseable or am I just wasting my time trying to perform excercises that will not work? There is a portion of fat that surrounds my navel. And when i hold my stomach in to see how it would look if i lost the fat, that area never changes. Please help me determine what needs to be done. Nothing looks the way it should because of this muffin top. And because my stomach did not look this way before the hernia---I have become obsessed with finding a solution. Please help!!! I've just recently, well for a few months now, been feeling a pulse in my stomach, and if i push down on it, it hurts. Also, my stomach looks chubbier even though I havent been eating differently or doing anything else differently. I'm never really hungry, but I just eat because I need to. It also makes growling noises usually after I eat and I get stomach aches after I eat too, which makes me have to go the bathroom. I have no idea whats wrong and am scared to go to the doctors. If these symptoms match anything please let me know. Thank you

I have had the same problems for half my life. I am 34 and they began when i was 16. I am a regular cyclist and my body is lean and proportionate except for my lower abdomen, which is round and sticks out. when pi ush on my stomach right above my navel it hurts very badly and i can feel my pulse strongly. over the years I've had an endoscopy and Cat Scan and been prescribed all kinds of medicine under an irritable bowel syndrome diagnosis. nothing helps. i am convinced it is something structural, and that no medicine will solve this. i have asked my gastroenterologist if i might have a hernia, and he said i didn't. but something is wrong, and i don't know what to do!
