|

Yep, feels just like a baby is inside moving...so weird. I've had this for 3 days now, on left side of pelvis, (and some minor bloating, constipation, diarreah but other than this annoying constant spasm, I'm fine!).
I'm 44, slender, fit, and I eat healthy. I did eat a burger the day before this started, which is really out of character for me, and wondered if that could have set this off...but 3 days? That's crazy! Research online says it could be anything from IBS to uterine fibroids (yes I'm on BC pills). I'm not pregant, no big weight loss or gain, nothing special going on.
Who has the answer? |

This feeling that something is moving around inside the stomach (according to my doctor) is just wind and is normal.
I have had this a few times and it feels like theres a baby kicking inside. Sometimes it is just a fluttering feeling. |

My two cents:
I have the same thing like probably some of you guys here; belly spasms coming and going for the last three weeks. I have a lot of gas lately, probably caused by a mixture of intestinal flora and the food I eat. I also get diarrhea rather quickly. Beer sometimes sets it off.
Change your diet (or stop eating for a day or so) and you'll probably see change. Maybe the suggestion of taking jakult or related bacteria milk products is a good idea, haven't tried that though.
Also note it's likely that people have these symptoms as a result of different causes (like viral infections vs food patterns). |

Hi,
I have had these same symptoms on and off for a few months now,a type of spasm feeling below and to the left of my belly button.I have 2 kids and it feels exactly as if a baby is pushing their hand or foot outwards against my skin, then it turns into a series of visible rumbles.I thought maybe it could be a result of adhesions as I have had 2 caesarean sections.I have also been diagnosed with stress related gastritis and hiatal hernia, but I don't know if thats of any relevance. It doesn't cause pain, just a horrible sensation.
I really wish I knew what this is,its scary!! |

| It turns out that these spasms can be cause by a lack of magnesium and calsium in your diet and a dietary supplement can help. I was freaking out when it started. I had dreams i was pregnant and the creepiest that I had creatures in there. I thought I was going mad and it turns out i just needed to eat better and have a full dosage of vitamins. |

Posted: 07/23/08 - 09:25 Post subject: Stomach Spasms While Exercising |
|
|
I am an overweight 47 year-old male. I have recently begun working out again and while doing sit-ups (crunches), I experienced instense spasms (charlie horse, cramps) in my stomach. I was able to gingerly get off of the crunch bench and get out of the gym and the spasm went away but it took about 10-15 minutes. The pain was INTENSE. I think the cause is that it's been a long time since I've exercised those muscles and I'm wondering what I can do to avoid this intense pain. I'm guessing that stretching prior to doing it and starting out with a minimum, I mean like 10, reps. may help. Has anyone had this and if so, what do you do to eliminate them. I am trying to exercise to make myself thinner and my stomach smaller and would hate to be limited because of this issue. Thank you. |

|

hi everyone,
I'll List the symptoms first
when I lie down to go to sleep, after a while a small flutter begins in my stomach,
just as I'm about to sleep my stomach contracts voilently (i.e. spasm's) which send's a pressure wave up my body, that ends with a large pulse sensation behind my right eye and/or at the top of my brain.
I went to the doctor years ago, It was my first visit, and he tought I might have a hiatus hernia, so sent me for a beriaum meal and Xray. The Xray show no hernia, but a reflux was there, the moment I was tilted on the Xray table, I saw the reflux myself.
when this all started about 10 years ago, the symptoms were different.
the same vibration then spasm, but the pulse would go into my chest/heart giving me a large electric shock type pain around my heart and then a large sensation of heat in running into my armpits. which I obliously thought was a heart attack. but my pulse seemed normal just after the event and the doctor said I have a strong heart.
This thing whatever it is, is very depressing and at time's frightening.
the only time this ever happened during daytime was at the start.
I was trying to give up smoking and was eating a lot of flavoured mints, when I go the first attack. I looked at the mint packet and on it was a warning about the laxative effect one of the ingredients might have.
this thing make you look at every angle to try to source the cause...
anyway thats my 2 cents |

| I have just started having this weird sensation. I had a gastric bypass 8 years ago but have gained about 25 pounds in the last 6-10 months. This fluttering just started yesterday and it drives me nuts. Like everyone said it is as if you are pregnant and a baby is kicking inside only it is constant. I hope eventually someone will find the answer on how to make this stop. |

You are not alone, I have the same thing. I wish some one knew what it was. Maybe just IBS & gas. |
