Stool problems after tooth op- blood & string

a week ago i went under general anesthetic for a tooth operation.

My first bowel movement was very bloody, bright red and contained what looked like fresh blood, I wondered if this may have been due to the bleeding that occured during the mouth surgery but it seems odd that the blood would be fresh, especially as I did not have a movement til a day later (probably as I wasn't eating enough)

Since then I've twice noticed stringy looking things in my stools, they are the same color as the stools (sort of light brown, slightly orange) and not white (i've read a few post of people who'vw had white stringy bits)

The only way I can explain the stringy things is maybe they were beanshoots? (from a meal I ate at the weekend)

But now i'm worried that maybe I have caught something?
