| I too thought I was going crazy and was pregnant. I had a c-section and a natural birth and about 2 years ago I started getting this pain in my stomach that would cause me to bloat like I was ready to give birth but wasn't and I get this feeling of something rolling around and kicking and can actually watch it which is wierd. I have gone to many doctors because getting that bloated causes breathing issues and all they can say is your stomach is gassy but it usually isn't. I have come to believe that the doctors have no clue as to this and I am taking Previcid for the stomach but it doesn't do a thing. I have been looked at by cameras and ultrasounds and x-rays and they are as stunned as I am. I am just starting to believe that it is a woman thing and could be due to some fat in my belly. I would love to know if anyone has found a great cure for this because it is very wierd when people ask when I am due and I am not pregnant just bloated. |

I have a 13 month old son. I'm still nursing and have not gotten my period. I started feeling the baby-kick sensation on the right side of my abdomen a few weeks ago. I also thought I might be pregnant. I'm concerned that I might have fibroids or something much worse. But, the loose muscle wall/intestinal poking makes alot of sense in my case.
I have an appointment with my gyno tomorrow. I'll report back here when I hear something.
Best of luck to you all. |

| I am so happy to know I'm not the only person having this same strange movement in my stomache. It's driving me crazy because I keep thinking it's an anureysm. I am a 34 year old female and have these movements for about five days now. It feels like a baby is moving in my stomache. I can't be pregnant, tubes are tied. I hope it is only gas and not something life threatning because my doctor and family think i'm absoultely crazy, they really don't believe me. The movement is on the right side of my navel and it flips and moves like something is in side of me. I was told that a heartbeat in your abdomen is normal especially if you are on the thin side. when I lay on my back, I can see my pulse, but the movement in my stomach does not feel like a pulse. It feels like a big bubble or baby moving in my stomache. SCARY!! |

I am a 38 year old woman with 2 kids and have been feeling the exact movement for the past two weeks now. I have done two home pregnancy tests, both negative and have had one done at the docs, negative too. I am going for a scan next month as I am very curious and as I have been pregnant b4 know exactly what a baby kicking feels like (and those are the feelings i am getting in my tummy).
I would also be glad if someone out there has the answer. |

Posted: 06/15/08 - 12:39 Post subject: That Strange Stomach Rumbling that Feels Like Pregnancy |
| Sounds like a broken record, but... boy am I glad to have found this forum. Like most ladies here I recently had a baby so I feel confident in knowing what baby movements feel like. Seven months after birth I started to get these rumbling movements going across the stomach, also accompanied by a "heartbeat" which I could feel by palpating my lower torso. I don't have very much loose skin but I wouldn't disagree that this could be why I'm feeling intestinal movement. Before pregnancy I would sometimes feel bloated and clothes wouldn't fit too well, but this time around I looked like I was well into my fourth or fifth month! There hadn't been any period before hand, but the constant "dragging" feeling we sometimes call mild cramps that come before AF. Still no period, but the feeling of kicks and rumbles remains. I also took two pregnancy test; both negative. I haven't been able to get any useful medical advice. Does anyone have thoughts on this being what they call a "phantom pregnancy"? I hope someone here has more certain feedback for us soon. |

I have literally been climbing the walls wondering what this could be. Common sense tells me I can't be pregnant too! I've taken tests over the past few months-all negative and have had what seems like my regular period, like clockwork.
I also feel kind of dumb going to the dr. But I also don't want to be one of those women you hear about to give birth and didn't clue in that she was pregnant either I have 3 kids and I have NEVER felt "gas" like this. It's gotten stronger and more regular in the past 2 weeks and now I'm preoccupied and making myself crazy. The silliest part is that because I have had 3 kids, I can say I don't have a single pregnancy symptom other than what feels like kicks. I can also see the movement now.
Did anyone get any results? I'm tempted to just go to the dr. and see if I can get some blood tests done. I had an ultrasound 6 mos ago due to an enlarged uterus (dr. spotted it at pap appt.-I had no clue). I'm only 115 lbs (usually...think I've put on 5-6 lbs..everything is tight). Hopefully it's just gas, but common sense is telling me to go to the dr. This isn't right.
I'm glad I'm not alone here, but sorry this didn't really help anyone! |

Posted: 07/02/08 - 21:30 Post subject: baby poking sensation |
| I, too, have experienced the baby poking/kicking sensation. I am 42, have had 3 children, the youngest is 6 and was delivered via a C-section and at the same time my tubes were tied. Within the last 2 mos. I have had the sensation of a baby moving around, poking, etc. around the left side of my belly button. Not painful, just frequent and odd. I did go to the doctor, had a pelvic ultrasound, etc. and all was found to be normal, though my uterus was stated as being large. But basically a clean bill of health and definitely NOT pregnant. Perhaps a GI doctor is the next step? Concerned... I see that I am not the only one to experience this sensation, however, wondering if there are any answers as of yet? |

Posted: 07/06/08 - 06:19 Post subject: Pulse, Bloating and Movement in my Abdomin |
| I have never been pregnant, but because I have been trying for 2 years, I was beginning to think I was becoming a bit obsessed and had developed a phantom pregnancy. For well over six months I have been feeling movement, expecially when I lie or sit down. I am uncomfortable, as if there is something in my tummy. I can also clearly see and feel a pulse. I have taken numerous pregnancy tests, ann have regular periods, so I am not pregnant. I also went to the Dr as I began to think there was something wrong with my abdominal aorta. All blood tests came back negative and she was not concerned. The only other suggestion I picked up from the web is that it could be paracites. To be honest, if it is, they would have to be really big and I don't really want to consider it. PLEASE PLEASE if anyone has been given clarification on this can you respond as I am turing into a crazy lady. |

| I am so glad I found someone talking about this! I have a 2 yr old and an 8 month old so I know what a baby feels like... this feels like a baby! I am still nursing my 8 month old several times a day and my period hasn't returned. I would just assume I'm pregnant but I've had absolutely no other sypmtoms other than the distinct wiggling and kicking sensations of a baby. I was severely sick with my first 2 pregnancies and haven't been the slightest bit nauseaus recently. What is this movement?? Anyone? Anyone? |
