Researchers found that one substance from Cannabis that has no psychoactive properties has good results in stopping the spread of breast cancer. This substance is Cannabidol and scientist discovered that it can inhibit a gene Id-1 which can help spread of cancer and is a very common in a number of types of cancer.

Scientists agree that this substance can be effective in a non-toxic therapy because chemotherapy is extremely toxic and difficult for a patient. Scientists hope that this new therapy could have same results as chemo therapy but without side effects.

What is very important about this study is that compound has to be extracted from the plant in order to be beneficial, smoking marijuana can not have the same results because it provides very small concentrations of this substance and it can not achieve any health benefits in that way.

Another interesting fact from this study is that researchers found that CBD can help in stopping the spread of colon, brain and prostate cancer as well.
