Today is officially 2 weeks after my surgery and I am completely healed. I can eat normally on Monday but I am gonna give it a shot today. I kept dreading this awful pain and bleeding to follow, but I had neither. I did have pain, but not excrusiating pain. No bleeding either. The first couple days are far by the worst. It does get better. I promise. Some people just heal differently than others. To be honest with you, this is exactally what I did for the 2 weeks I was off.. Nothing. I layed around, kept my throat moist, and ate when I felt like it. All the rest of the time I slept. I believe the less you do, the quicker you heal. So yes having the tonsillectomy was a pain in the butt for about a week, but just rest and keep your throat moist and you will get better.
