I've been on Methatrexate for about 3 months - taking 6 pills once a week. I normally take them with my lunch and eat slowly taking them one at a time. Never a problem. This week I was in a hurry and took them with breakfast - walked the dog 2 1/2 miles and returned home to begin some yard work. I nearly passed out and spent the rest of the day in bed - violently ill, vomiting and feeling VERY hot, altho I did not have a fever. My pharmacist said it was related to the heat/sun exposure. It's day 3 now and I'm feeling some better altho I still have a nagging pain in my stomach and I'm very tired.
I am worried that I'm beginning the side affects I've been reading about on your website. Could the heat/sun exposure have exasurbated all that I experienced and in the future - continuing on my past method of taking those pills - go back to normal??
