Hi, I will have my ear operated on next Monday. I have SSCD for some time now, and I cant wait to get over with it. Dizziness, nausea, and vestibular hyperacusis have been my symptoms, and I hope I will cure them. Did anyone go through this surgery?

Hi, I had superior semicircular canal dehiscence syndrome (SSCD) five years ago. This is a disorder when the roof of the superior semicircular canal is missing. At the first time, I had only ringing or fullness in my ears, and then with years, my hearing was lost too. My symptoms got worse every time with coughing, sneezing, or blowing my nose. I had a surgery for SSCD, and they closed my dehiscence. The surgery can also involve plugging the canal. My condition approved, and I didn’t have dizziness, nausea and ringing I my ears again. I hope your Surgery for SSCD will be successful too.
