Surgery near ankles

I had surgery near my ankles 4 weeks ago to remove large lipomas that had fibrous material attaching them to my bones. I want to know if it is normal for me to still be experiencing soreness and stiffness in my entire feet and how much longer will it be until I am walking around normally?
