Swelling in cheek

I have a very large, very tender swelling in my cheek. It goes down and then swells again. If I push on my cheek, I get a gross tasting discharge inside my mouth. My jaw hurts as does my ear and I've been tired and running a fever. I have talked to my dentist who says he can't see anything plugging the salivary gland, and my physician says it might be the result of an allergic reaction to my hair products, which I switched, but it didn't acomplish anything. This swelling and draining has gone on for about 6 months now. For the past several weeks it was completely gone and just the other day it started swelling again. This time I have noticed that I also have a rash or bug bites on the back of my right leg. I don't know if this is related or not, but since I just noticed it, I thought I would ask. Can you shed some light on what this might be?
