Swelling near the start of my butt crack

At the top of my butt crack on one side only there is some swelling. I live alone so there isn't anyone to inspect this area. I'm not in pain if standing or walking or lying still in bed, if on my side....however as I bend to set down on a couch or as I'm bending to get up I have a lot of pain. I first noticed this just a couple of days ago but it's worse today. I'm trying a cold compress tonight and seem to be getting some relief.

The swelling isn't sensative to my touch.

Any ideas?

Could be a boil or maybe hemeroid?

But probably a boil of some sort? Lots of people get boil type things on their bums.

Hello, I had the same thing but mine would come and go. I finally went to the docs. one day when it REALLY started to hurt. That's when Ifound out it was called a pilinidol cyst(not sure of the spelling) and I had to have it surgicaly removed. Once it is all out you are fine and chances of recurrence are slim. Not sure if this is your issue but, I would go have it checked out!!
