Hi, my friend is suffering from depression in last few weeks and his doctor prescribed him SSRI but he didn't react so well on it. Now he is thinking about switching to another antidepressant but I don't know if it would be good and also how would he react on new therapy.
Hi, SSRI are prescribed very often because of their easy use. However many researches confirmed that switch to another anti depressant may be very useful and also make much better results. There are several different antidepressants which may be prescribed beside SSRI. Those are: metrazapin, bupropion and nefazodone. However you have to consult your psychiatrist.
