I have been thinking about switching from Lexapro to Luvox. It seems that Lexapro did not have the effect I was hoping for, so I need a new therapy. I am 27 years old and I cannot deal with life problems on my own and that is why I am turning to meds. I know that I should consult a doctor first and I intend to do that, but I have this feeling that he will just prescribe me what I wan, just to finish with me quick and easy.

I cannot agree with you on that. Perhaps you are the one who wants to finish fast with doctor, just to get your meds as quicker as possible. If you really think that your doctor is not giving you his full attention, then change him, you have right to do that. AS for changing meds, that is something I cannot say if it is right or wrong. Perhaps you could try a different approach, a therapist maybe, someone to talk to about your problems in life.
