Swollen, pubic area, labia majora and glands in groin also painful blisters around vagina

I have reduced sensation in my lower regions, called saddle anaesthesia,also have poor bladder and bowel control due to nerves being severed from prolapsed disc operation nearly two years ago, also called cauda equina syndrome.
Currently, amongst everything esle, I have developed swollen pubic area, labia majora and glands in groin also small blisters around my vagina.
GP initially treated me for thrush-no benefit.
Now saying I may have shingles/herpes zoster?? have been prescribed acyclovir tablets.
am concerned, afetr trawling the web to find this maybe genital herpes?? I have been in a monogomous relationship for at least 5 years, has anyone else experienced similar to these? And if so, any advice?

are you on any treatments that may have caused this as an allergic reaction or possibly these are side effects of your condition? herpes can be caught from oral sex if the partner has a cold-sore, it's the same virus.
