Swollen ankles in first trimester. Is there a problem?

I am pregnant with my first child. I am in my 10th week and have begun having swollen ankles. There isn't any swelling anywhere else. I have read that this is normal in the later part of the second trimester and the third trimester. Is it normal to have swelling this early or is there a problem?
