Hey, im 17 and a month ago i noticed very suddenly that there was a little lump in my groin. My firnds said it was probably a gland. I also noticed redness over the lump. Well the sweling lasted a few days and the swelling went down. However, my groin feels a little tender and i can feel the gland...though it isnt swollen. I play a lot of tennis-could this be because of a strain thats affected my gland?

I get these swollen lumps in groins all the time. I had one that used to grow so big every six months or so that I couldn’t walk for 2 days how painful it was. I wouldn’t let anybody touch it, because it hurts then too. I still don’t know what that was.

Most of the times I get ingrown hairs but a dermatologist told me that lump in groins can appear even when there is an infection in the foot. Besides that, cysts often appear in the groin areas. Do you shave down there? Have unprotected sex? What is this gland like, soft, hard, firm , movable?
