TOTAL HYSTERECTOMY - Should I or not?

Hello,

I am scheduled to have a total hysterectomy on April 3rd. I have fibroids and Endometriosis in my uterus. My doctor suggested that I remove my ovaries as well to prevent ovarian cancer.

I am so confused and having mixed emotions because of everything I have been reading. I have read so much about HRT (hormone replacement therapy) that it increases the risk breasts cancer. Reading about HRT and the side affects, scares me.

I am afraid that having a total hysterectomy and not having my own hormones will make me "go out of my mind".

Has anyone had regrets? any success stories?
