TTC 6months and now irregular periods and strange clotting

I have been of the pill almost 7 months and we've been ttc and i have always had a 28 day cycle and this month i was a week late and i thought maybe i was pregnant and then i got my period and the bleeding was strange weird clotting and i'm alittle nervous about what is going on with my body. can anyone give advice
