Taking ortho tri-cyclen lo, also Amoxicillin -- is my pill still effective?

I have been taking Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo for several months now. Yesterday I found out I had strep throat, and was prescribed Amoxicillin in 875mg pills, to be taken twice a day for ten days. There is a sticker saying that this medication may alter the effects of certain birth control pills. Is my birth control being altered by this antibiotic?
